Sally lives in one of Achieve’s group homes, has only just received her first NDIS plan. She has always wanted to work at Achieve’s Marrickville factory, however there had been no funding allocation for Supported Employment in her plan.
Our Support Coordinator organised her to undertake some trial sessions at the Marrickville factory, which she absolutely loved.
The Support Coordinator then gathered evidence, submitted to the NDIA and asked for her NDIS plan to be reviewed to receive funding for Supported Employment. After 2 months of waiting and continuous follow up from the Support Coordinator, she finally received the Supported Employment funding and was able to start work. She loves working and has even requested to change from 2 to 3 days per week.
